DM Waiter Scan is a staff-only tool for restaurants and food businesses that use the Delivery Manager platform. It is not a consumer app. Accounts are created by the business; there is no public sign-up.
Its single purpose is to let a member of staff scan the barcode shown in a customer's ordering app in order to confirm that a cash payment has been collected at the table.
The data controller is Delivery Manager (dmSoft), which operates the platform on behalf of the businesses that use it. Each business is responsible for the staff accounts it creates.

| Staff username | To identify the member of staff signing in. Issued by the business — it is not an email address and does not need to identify a person outside the workplace. |
| Password | To authenticate. Stored only as a one-way bcrypt hash. It is never stored in readable form and never appears in our logs. |
| Device identifier | Android's ANDROID_ID, recorded at sign-in so we can support
the business ("which handset was this staff member using?"). It is specific
to this app, resets on a factory reset, and cannot be used to track anyone
across other apps. |
| Scan records | For each scan: the order number, the amount, the store, the time, and whether it succeeded. This is the record of who collected which cash payment — an accounting and audit requirement for the business. |
The app needs camera access for one reason: to read a barcode. Images are processed on the device and are never saved, uploaded, or transmitted anywhere. Only the decoded barcode text — a store number and an order number — leaves the phone.
It is not used for anything else.
Data is not sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes. It is
visible to the business that employs the member of staff, and it is stored on
Amazon Web Services in the EU (Ireland, eu-west-1), which processes
it solely as our hosting provider.
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to its processing. Because accounts are created and managed by your employer, please raise the request with them first; they can also contact us on your behalf. You may also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
This app is a workplace tool and is not directed at or intended for children.

Το DM Waiter Scan είναι εργαλείο αποκλειστικά για το προσωπικό καταστημάτων εστίασης που συνεργάζονται με την πλατφόρμα Delivery Manager. Δεν είναι εφαρμογή για καταναλωτές· οι λογαριασμοί δημιουργούνται από την επιχείρηση και δεν υπάρχει δημόσια εγγραφή.

ANDROID_ID του
Android, για υποστήριξη. Αφορά μόνο αυτή την εφαρμογή.Η κάμερα χρησιμοποιείται αποκλειστικά για την ανάγνωση του barcode. Οι εικόνες επεξεργάζονται τοπικά στη συσκευή και δεν αποθηκεύονται ούτε αποστέλλονται πουθενά. Μόνο το κείμενο του κωδικού — αριθμός καταστήματος και παραγγελίας — φεύγει από το κινητό.
Η επικοινωνία γίνεται μέσω HTTPS. Το διακριτικό σύνδεσης αποθηκεύεται κρυπτογραφημένα στη συσκευή, εξαιρείται από τα αντίγραφα ασφαλείας και λήγει αυτόματα μετά από 24 ώρες. Τα δεδομένα φιλοξενούνται στην Amazon Web Services εντός ΕΕ (Ιρλανδία).
